Facilyta – Study in Spain

Student Visa for Spain

The student visa is the essential permit for non-EU citizens to live in Spain while pursuing regulated studies at a recognized educational institution. At Facilyta we support international students from the first consultation through collecting the visa at the consulate in their home country. Our team knows the requirements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the specifics of each consulate and the deadlines that shape the Spanish academic calendar. Whether you are enrolling in a bachelor's degree, a master's or a language program longer than ninety days, we help you prepare documentation, review your admission letter, prove financial means and arrange the required health insurance. Avoiding mistakes in the application saves weeks of delay and reduces the risk of refusal. If you dream of studying in Spain, the student visa is your first legal step — we manage it with you clearly, with personalized follow-up and a response in less than twenty-four hours.

Who needs a student visa?

Non-EU nationals who will stay in Spain for more than ninety days to pursue higher education, vocational training, academic exchange or research programs at authorized centers need a student visa.

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens do not require this visa, although they must process their NIE and other residence procedures once in Spain if their stay exceeds six months.

Required documentation

The application requires, among other documents, a valid passport, completed official form, recent photographs, admission or enrollment certificate from the school, full-coverage health insurance, proof of financial means and a criminal record certificate depending on the consulate.

At Facilyta we review every document before submission, arrange translation and legalization when needed, and indicate apostilles or document visas required by your country of origin to avoid returns.

Timelines and process

The process begins with admission to a Spanish institution and continues with the consulate appointment. Processing times vary between two and four weeks, although they may lengthen during peak season.

We recommend starting at least three or four months before the course begins. We coordinate each milestone with you: gathering documents, consular appointment, tracking the file and preparing for entry into Spain.
